Top 7 Things to Expect During Unforgettable Horseback Riding in the Bahamas
Looking for the ultimate horseback riding in the Bahamas experience? At Ranch Resort | Sport & Spa, we offer a one-of-a-kind trail that takes you from local roads to pine-covered paths and ends on a quiet beach with seafoam green water.
Whether you’re visiting Nassau or planning a special occasion, here are the top 7 things you can expect from our horseback riding experience.
1. Horses That Are Genuinely Loved
Our horses aren’t just trained — they’re cared for like family.
They’re young, well-groomed, well-fed, and showered after every ride. We intentionally limit how often they work each day to ensure they stay healthy and happy.
If you’re passionate about ethical riding and horse wellness, meet our horses here.
2. A Peaceful, Slow-Paced Ride
Most of our guests are first-time riders, so we keep the experience relaxing and safe.
We do not trot, canter, or gallop. Just a calm, easy walk so you can stay connected to your horse, your breath, and the beauty around you.
If you’re experienced, let us know. While we don’t adjust the pace, you’ll appreciate the quality and responsiveness of our horses — and we can extend the trail slightly to make it more fulfilling.
3. A Trail From the Ranch to the Beach
This isn’t just a loop around a field. The full ride takes around 2 hours, starting from the ranch, riding through local streets, into the woods, and finally reaching a stunning private beach.
It’s one of the only true beach horseback riding tours in the Bahamas.
4. Real Moments, No Nose-to-Tail
We give space between riders, and we take our time. This is about connection — not following a robotic line.
5. We Welcome Kids — With Safety First
• Our horses are calm, but your child’s safety is always our priority.
6. You Can Customize the Experience
Planning a birthday surprise? A proposal on the beach?
We offer private rides and custom setups. While we don’t provide professional photos (yet), guests are welcome to take their own.

7. A Few Things to Know Before You Book
• Weight limit: 235 lbs
• Booking in advance is required — we prep horses and staff ahead of time
• No group discounts — quality care takes time and attention
We recommend wearing long pants and closed-toe shoes (they might get wet!). That said, shorts are totally fine too — just know you’ll be in contact with the saddle and possibly the ocean. Comfort is key.
Optional extras: hat, sunglasses, or a light long-sleeve.
